Singapore - Cycle & Carriage Singapore launches the new Citroën C4 compact hatchback. First introduced in 2013, the new Citroën C4 offers a new concept at the heart of the compact hatchback segment, in what Citroën terms a disruptive silhouette that is sculpted to challenge innovation and shaped to reinvent the driving experience. While the C4 retains its aerodynamic inclined roof, what is new is its LED V-shaped front and rear lighting signature, and it’s SUV inspired design elements.
“With a striking new design that combines the best elements from hatchbacks while taking design cues from SUVs, the Citroën C4 reinvents the best a hatchback can be. Along with superior comfort features from Citroën’s Advanced Comfort® Programme and a wide array of safety features, we are confident that the new C4 will be the car of choice for many,” says Mr Royston Soh, Divisional Manager, Head of Multi-Franchise Sales.
What buyers can expect from the new Citroën C4, is the brand’s signature comfortable ride, through its Advanced Comfort® Programme, which is unique to Citroen vehicles. The Advanced Comfort Programme’s two prominent features include Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® suspension system (like the ones in the re-introduced C5 Aircross) and Advanced Comfort Seats.
On the tech side of things, the C4 features Citroën Connect Play which is integrated into a 10-inch touchscreen display, and features Mirror Screen, compatible with both Apple and Android mobile devices. It replicates suitable driving-specific mobile applications on the vehicle’s touchscreen display for safer vehicle operation. The new Citroen C4 also has a wireless mobile charging pad, for a more seamless experience.
For a safer drive, the Citroën C4 boasts a list of active safety features, for example, the Collision Risk Alert, which alerts the driver of a possible collision, from speeds above 30km/h, while the Blind Spot Monitoring System which features orange LEDs located located on the wing mirrors, notify the driver of any approaching vehicles in the blind spot.
The Citroën C4 is powered by a Category A COE friendly 1.2 litre 129hp engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and boasts fuel economy of 4.7L/100km.
The new Citroën C4 is offered in two variants, Feel and Shine, with prices for the Feel variant starting at $109,000, while pricing for the Shine variant will be announced at a later date.
